Your Presence
Dearest friends & family—you are our gift! We adore you, which is why we'll be thrilled if your life circumstances allow you to join us at one of our wedlings.

Your Blessing
We have found a beautiful hand-made scrapbook, which we want to fill with love letters from you all. We'll bring the book and some really great pens/pencils/crayons/glue to our various wedlings. If you feel moved to do so, please bring your stories, thoughts, quotes, sketches, cartoons to add to the book -- whatever inspires you & whatever you wish to share with us during our first year of marriage!

Other ways of honoring our partnership...
Some folks have asked about a gift registry. Please know that we do not expect gifts from anyone. However, we understand that for some people, gift-giving is an important tradition & a way to share their love.

We promise to try to think of things that we need. Soon! Really! In the meantime, here are some general values that we use when buying things for ourselves, which might be helpful: ~ do we love it? ~ do we need it? ~ is it produced as locally & sustainably as possible? ~ is it delicious? ~ is it a good bargain? ~ is it a force for good in the world? ~

We are also deeply committed to the barter economy that makes our community thrive, and therefore very much welcome gifts of your many talents (e.g. art, music, wood work, and especially bodywork & healing arts -- massages make GREAT wedding gifts, hint hint!).

Toward that end, here are some local places that we like very much:
Hope & Olive Restaurant
The People's Pint Restaurant
Greenfield Farmers' Cooperative

Alternatively, here are a few entities whose work means a great deal to us, for anyone who wishes make a donation in lieu of more traditional gifts.
Safe and Green Campaign - Nonviolent direct action to shut down the Vermont Yankee nuclear power plant (20 miles from our home).
Earthdance - basically mecca for contact improv dancers. (This one is a registered non-profit, for tax purposes.)
The Guiding Star Grange - the beautiful old building that is basically mecca for contra dancers, and that also needs a lot of maintenance & repair work. We ask that donations be made directly to the Guiding Star Grange, so that funds can be used entirely for maintenance.

Finally, if you would like to send us mail, we can be found at 12 Mountain Road in Greenfield, MA 01301.
